Travis F.'s Essay

“My dream for the future is…”
In the great words of the honorable Martin Luther King, Jr,. “I have a dream,” that one day my positive outlook on life will spread throughout the world, one individual at a time. I have faith that the world will be a better place in the future, and I will be an advocate and leader toward that positive change that our society needs.
In my dream, people strive to do their very best and keep their faith even at their weakest times. Strangers help other strangers and expect nothing in return. Parents allow their children to play outside without fear of turning their backs. “Love” is more than just a word that people use; it has meaning. People truly care for one another, and life’s greatest joys are appreciated.
My entire dream for the future is started by a simple word – perseverance – or to never give up and to always keep trying. If people in today’s time start practicing perseverance, then my dream for the future will come true. All it takes for this to happen is the willingness to have hope in your faith and have faith in yourself. I have seen the good in the world and its people, and it’s time for others to see it as well.
The world will never be perfect, but it can and will be better. “I have a dream today” that every tomorrow our world will become a better place!
