Taylor S.'s Essay

“My dream for the future is…”
Living with CF has taught me to thank God every day I wake up, to take in every moment, to enjoy life and everything it has to offer. It has taught me to take responsibility for my actions. You look at life a lot differently knowing you might not be here tomorrow; you might be in a hospital bed struggling for every breath. I personally think it brings more positive impacts on my life than negatives. You know you might not be here so you do things that you will not regret. It’s taught me to be a better person inside and out. I have a lot of things to think about in life, and at some points CF isn’t my main priority, but I’ve changed my thinking to where I know if I want to live a long healthy life, then I have to go home and do my treatments. Life isn’t a walk in the park. Living with CF takes commitment, effort, and time. I’ve learned to live with it because this is my life and I’m going to make it everything I can. I will succeed and reach my goals whatever it takes, and CF is not going to stop me. God has blessed me with CF and I’m going to make the best of it. All this said, this is just another day in my life.
