“My dream for the future is…”

My dream for the future is a picture not fully developed. It is still being processed. It is bursting with ideas, inspirations, expectations, technology, medical advances, and thoughts of hope and even doubt. My dream for the future is never ending. It is limitless. It is timeless. My dream for the future holds no promises or guarantees. It is not unreal nor does it strive for perfection. It is constantly changing and evolving. It may grow, shrink, dissolve, expand, or regenerate all in the blink of an eye. My dream for the future is…

A cure for Cystic Fibrosis, the end of cancer, functional gene therapy, a cure for AIDS, new treatments, discovery and innovation, the end of diabetes, cure for Alzheimer’s, the end of disease, an all-in-one digestive enzyme, no more inhalers, less coughing, less doctor’s offices, less questions, and more answers. My dream for the future is to run a marathon, to run for president, to become a CEO of a fortune 500, to bike across the United States, to compete in the global marketplace, to earn a Master’s Degree, to make a million dollars, to donate a million dollars, to make a discovery, to lead people to make a difference…

Life is about the future. We live in a goal oriented, futuristic world. Our lives are constantly changing and our ideas and understanding are rapidly evolving; therefore, my dreams for the current future exist in the fragmented explosions of thought and ideas listed above.
