“My dream for the future is…”

My dream for the future is for people to live for something greater than themselves. Maybe if people focused on something greater than themselves, there would be a refocused energy. Right now there’s so much hate and negativity in the world. If people focused on something bigger, that energy would be refocused in a positive, selfless way. If there was less selfishness and more selflessness, maybe we could achieve the things that have so far been called dreams. This ‘something greater’ could be anything from a belief in God, to trust in an individual, dedication to a cause, or hope for a cure. My dream is to live each day for something bigger than that day. My dream is for people to live each day to reach something that they’re passionate about. It’s living each day to leave this earth having made a difference. I would love for there to be a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, but I know that it’s made me the individual I am and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. I have an understanding of life that I don’t think some people understand until it’s almost too late if ever. My CF has taught me to appreciate the little things and that is my dream for others. A better understanding of themselves, others, and of life would change the way people live.
