Jessika B.'s Essay

“My dream for the future is…”
I have spent so much of my life’s energy on preparing for the future. I worked hard through high school maintaining a 4.0, graduating at 17, playing sports, volunteering, and heading straight to college where I graduated at 21 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Educations. With the help of my CF team, the CF Foundation, and many other scholarships, including this one, I secured myself for a successful future in teaching. Though CF has limited some aspects of what I do, I have spent my life overcoming these limits with great achievement. Now that I am older, my dream for the future has changed. It is extremely important, not only for the well being of my soul and personal happiness, but for the well being of my health just to live and breathe easy. “Just live” in the sense of a ‘here and now’ type of outlook and to enjoy every moment as it comes. The scholarship would fund my passion for life, which is art. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.” “Breath easy” in the sense that CF does not run my life; I do!!!
