Elizabeth C.'s Essay

“My dream for the future is…”
Everyone’s interpretation of the future matters; it is those very dreams that shape the future’s outcome, and my dream in preserving the Earth’s natural state is one that can certainly be obtained. Earth has done nothing but provide humans and animals a niche to live and thrive in. Although humans have taken these natural resources, no thanks and respect has really been given back up until recently. In the future, processed items have gone organic, natural resources are no longer depleted at an unseeingly natural rate, and animals can have back their once safe haven of land.
People need to realize that the Earth cannot heal itself and that the only way to produce the harmonious peace to live in, is for everyone to do their part now. Whether it is the little actions like recycling or carpooling, or the big ones like terminating all deforestation, the planet needs to bounce back up to its once pure environment. If nothing is done, and the world continues to function in its polluted ambiance, the result can be catastrophic: undeniably, more illnesses will come about, more animals will cease to exist, and the very essentials of life such as food and water, even the air that is needed to breath, will become insufficient for use. Earth is in a brittle situation, but in the future, the harmonious and respectful living between humans, animals, and nature will be the dominant outlook on life.
