Myles L.'s Essay

Currently, I will be graduating high school on June 28th, 2008. With one week left of high school; my mind, my feelings and my heart have been racing! Most of the senior events such as the Awards Dinner, the High School Golf Tournament, the finals and the Prom have all been completed leaving nothing but Graduation Day to come!
Now, as I think about writing this essay I can honestly say that living with CF has taught me many fine qualities within myself!
Living with CF has taught me responsibility! Being responsible for what I needed to do to help myself grow bigger, stronger and keep-up with being the best that I could be!
Living with CF has taught me to be considerate and compassionate of others. With either a sickness or handicap, an elderly person needing help to carry a package, opening a door or just being a friend.
Living with CF has taught me to schedule my time! I am a very well organized person. I even write “to-do” lists in order to keep track of events, medications, schoolwork, sports, chores, and work.
Living with CF has taught me to eat right and exercise daily! I love to eat, I like to cook and I don’t like cleaning up the dishes. I play roller hockey in the winter months and I play golf as much as I can.
Living with CF has taught me to be thankful. Thankful to know that living with CF can be tolerable, challenging, and even rewarding!
