Chad S.'s Essay

Living with CF has taught me to enjoy life!
Most of us are given obstacles in life to overcome; mine just happens to be Cystic Fibrosis. With the burdens we are given in life, we must be ready to adapt our lifestyle and accept the complications that we have been given. I believe we are given these burdens for a reason. Without the hardships that people face over their lifetime, what would be the point of life?
By dealing with my hardship over a long period of time, I have come to develop a mindset that I can defeat anything. I may have setbacks, but proving to people that I never give up is very important to me because showing them I have been defeated means Cystic Fibrosis has yet controlled another life. Living with CF has taught me to be very disciplined in choosing between my health issues and everyday living. Often times the two cross over, but I have learned to accept that my health is issue #1 before anything else.
Last, but not least, CF has taught me to live life to the fullest while being as active as possible. Before a person knows it, life passes them by and they wonder what they got out of life. I, however, have been able to soak up many of the riches in my life.
Living with CF has taught me to enjoy life!
